outdoor pool swim

Went to the outdoor pool tonight which I think will be very helpful for training. It’s colder water, 50m instead of 20m, outside… and a tiny bit of current from the slide water rushing in.My mom was really helpful tonight on-deck pushing me to keep going.

Didn’t do 1000 non-stop, but only took a couple mini breaks. Need to keep working hard.

strained muscle?

I know, I know… a strained muscle in my side (oblique, abdominal area) is a bit silly. I’m not sure how it happened or what I did to do it. But it was definitely running.

This is a bit discouraging while I’m trying to train for my first sprint triathlon. I thought it was better, but it’s come back again this week. Going to a sports medicine clinic on Wednesday do see what I can do.
